Coloboration with Offermoord 
This is just a quick first experiment ... I digitally altered his original to add the border shadowing .... slight color and (almost) concentric circles.... then I printed it out on a piece of transparent vellum..... I took that print - laid it on top of one of my patterned abstract pieces and rescanned them together....
I think I will work further with this idea ... maybe cut through the vellum in spots I want to pop, paint on the back of the vellum where I want to block background distractions......... but for now I thought this was kinda neat.
